Why do I need to verify my phone number?
When you sign up for Chumba, we do require a phone number for security reasons. This allows us to verify you and keep your account safe.

Do I have to enter the verification code each time I login?
No, phone verification codes are only required to register your account with a valid phone number. Please note, you may be asked for a phone verification code, if you want to change your phone number. |
Can I use a landline number for phone verification?
No, you can only use a valid mobile number for phone verification. |
Can I update my registered phone number?
Yes, please contact us to update your registered phone number. |
How long does it take to receive verification code?
As soon as you enter your phone number and click on the “Send Code” button, you will receive your 4-digit verification code in seconds. In exceptional circumstances it could take longer and in all cases may depend on your network coverage. |
I did not receive the verification code. What should I do?
If you have not received your verification code, click on “Resend Code” to generate a new code.

I received a verification code even though I didn't request any?
If you did not make this request, someone may have tried to access your account. This can happen if someone is trying to sign into your account, or if someone mistyped their email address and it's similar to yours. If you're unsure, the safest option is to change your password to something unique and review your account for unusual activity. If you need further support, please contact us. |
Why do I get the error message “Your code has expired”?
The verification code expires 10 minutes after it is generated. If your verification code has expired, click on “Resend Code” to generate a new code. |
Why do I get the error message “Please enter a valid code”?
This means that the verification code provided to authenticate the phone number is not accurate. Please make sure you are using the latest verification code obtained through SMS. If you have used “Resend Code” to get an additional code, you will not be able to validate the previous verification codes. |
Why do I get the error message “We failed to verify this number. Please try again”?
This can be due to one of the following reasons:

Why do I get the error message “You’ve exceeded your attempts”?
This means that you have attempted to log in five or more times with an incorrect verification code. As a security precaution, you will have to wait for 10 minutes to be able to request for a new verification code again. |
Can someone use my verification code?
The verification code sent to you is personal and unique to you, meaning you’re the only one who should receive it and you should NEVER share it with anyone. |
